Company
Zarges (UK) Limited was established in Milton Keynes in September 1991 and is a subsidiary of Zarges GmbH.
Zarges is now the largest manufacturer of access equipment in Europe. The company dates back to the early 1930s, when two brothers set up a metal fabrications business in Southern Germany, where the first production run aluminium ladders were produced. Today, the Zarges group dominates the European market and manufactures over 500 types of access equipment products.
Therefore Zarges (UK) probably carries the widest range of ladders, steps, work platforms and towers (with an assurance of quality you can rely on.) Stringent standards are maintained throughout the design, manufacture and quality control processes to bring our customers the best products available.
Zarges's range of aluminium alloy containers was first introduced to the UK market in 1955, at a time when the majority of containers used in industrial, commercial and military applications were manufactured from wood and steel. The Lacon box, its name derived from that of the original licence holder, Light Alloy Construction, rapidly became a byword for quality in MoD circles.
The quality range of aluminium alloy packaging and handling products such as containers, cases and trolleys has continually since extended, these are now distributed in the UK by Zarges (UK) Limited. This has come about due to the retirement in 2007 of the specialist agent Light Alloy Limited, which handled majority sales in the UK area since introducing the Zarges products in the 1950's.
